  • #535 - Murder Bones Mystery - Seiling, Oklahoma
    Oct 17 2024

This week, in Seiling, Oklahoma, a mystery unfolds, when a mother seems to vanish, in the middle of the night. Her car, toiletries, and other personal items are also gone. It seems like she just took off, but detectives are soon suspicious of both her ex-husband, and current boyfriend, both of whom seem as guilty as can be. It all comes into focus, when her kids end up playing with, what turns out to be, their mother's charred bones!!

Along the way, we find out that Route 66 related excitement seems very overrated, that most women don't leave their sleeping children, to go on vacation, and you shouldn't let your children play with their mother's bones!!

  • #534 - Gone Like A Ghost - Pocomoke City, Maryland
    Oct 11 2024

This week, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, a young mother disappears from the flophouse that she shared with some friends, after an apparent love triangle, or maybe even a love rectangle goes wrong. No evidence, and some vague hints from a pair of psychic sisters, leads to no progress in the case, until one of the killers tries to get out of some trouble, and spills all the horrible details of a murder, that never needed to happen!

Along the way, we find out that rap battles & children's pageants go hand in hand, that a disagreement over the amount of milk that a small child drinks shouldn't be enough to ruin a relationship, and that no matter how many other crimes you commit, telling police about your participation in a murder, won't get you out of trouble!!

  • #533 - Mountain Massacre - McCarthy, Alaska
    Oct 10 2024

This week, in McCarthy, Alaska, a tiny, remote mountain town is nearly wiped out of existence, when one of the residents seems to snap, and tries to kill the whole town. In one wild morning, this killer methodically attacks person, after person, all while another resident tries to warn the others, and get a survivor on the only plane, out of town. And this was only the start of a larger plan. A crazy tale of brutality, and survival!

Along the way, we find out that every remote mining village needs another nearby village for booze and brothels, that no one person can singlehandedly take down a major oil pipeline, and that sometimes scenes from movies, happen in real life!!

Not the same old murder cases

James researches and writes about the murder cases and Jimmy hears about the cases when we do so his reactions are real and express the shock and horror that the rest of us feel. James provides an overview of the town and sometimes the times since some of the murders are from the 1970s or 1980s. The best part of this podcast is these two cover cases that have not been done on every other true crime podcast and have only covered a handful of cases that I have heard on other podcasts. A side benefit of this podcast is James's books suggestions. I've listened to several of the books that he has suggested and I enjoyed all of them.

YAYYYYYY!!!

So glad I can finally review STM! Never did figure that out on Google podcasts. These guys are hilarious! The number of times I have cracked up and had to pull over while driving is just... innumerable. I die every time James says "it's just haw-rrible" in his NY accent. Jimmie is a sessy beast with a heart of gold. These guys make murder fun 😜

Listen to these guys

They threatened to kick me in the balls if I didn’t leave them a good review. They’re lucky I actually love the show. Listen to the podcast for stories you’ve probably never heard of and for the jokes.

Love you guys so much!

These guys are great! Fun laughing at small towns (just like the one I live in) with stories that hook you and make you cringe at the same time. My husband and I have become fans - we listen every weekend after the kids go to bed. Carry on Jimmie and James! :)
