  • Summary

  • This podcast is hosted by the Owner/Founder of Your Speaking Voice LLC, Joshua D. Smith. Extending from the values of the business, the purpose of the podcast is to provide a focus on: - Relationships: Personal connections are the underpinnings of creating many of the values in our lives. Without them, we are unable to provide opportunities for ourselves and potentially others. - Confidence: Being able to overcome challenges with the knowledge and skill sets that we have help us to showcase "the best version of ourselves". We are willing to pursue our aspirations/passions by being able to see through some of the challenges that are before us, whether physically or mentally. - Determination: Combining the formula together, being able to create the will to pursue opportunities through time, we create passions for goals that we can achieve by overcoming those events. Each episode focuses on a variation of one of these values, with the overall mission to engage in the transformation of our "voice" in this ever changing world. Want to learn more about the business? • Episode #158 - Becoming Compassionate At Different Stages Of Life: An Interview With Edla Prevette
    Oct 10 2024

As we get older, we physically and mentally change. There are numerous resources available for new parents as they start to understand the joys (both literally and figuratively) of their newborn, which includes their behaviors. Unfortunately, the prevalence or understanding of aging parents/grandparents/other close relatives and friends is not widely as available, causing misunderstandings of what it means to effectively communicate and engage with them in a healthy manner. Today's guest and owner of the One-Eighty technique, Edla Prevette, discusses her journey of being a mental health counselor and passionately helping her clients to understand the importance of reframing and engaging with these types of conversations and directions in a different way, and filling the gap in this realm that exists. Through today's interview, learn how to become more engaging and constructive, instead of resistant to this phase we all go through, in a more meaningful, productive way.
