This month we're joined by Giulia Thinnes, a photographer based in Luxembourg, who you might also bump into in Berlin or elsewhere in Europe. She's currently working on a fascinating and deeply personal project exploring how life circumstances shape not only their character, but also their photography. It's a journey of introspection and authenticity, with a focus on intuitive image-making.

Beyond the lens, Giulia is passionate about challenging the status quo, seeking alternatives to capitalist systems, and embracing positivity through nature and gardening.

One of many prominent guest of this year's Light Leaks Festival in Luxembourg was Richard Kalvar, an American photographer known for his street photography and unique artistic style. Based in New York City, Kalvar has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1977. His work often features humorous and thought-provoking moments captured in everyday life, showcasing his keen observational skills and ability to find beauty in the ordinary. Pour l'introduction: Né au Luxembourg en 1976, Marc Wilwert est un photographe dont les œuvres sont imprégnées du concept de lumière, explorant ses effets physiques, son symbolisme, ainsi que ses implications culturelles et métaphotographiques. Après avoir décroché son diplôme en photographie à l'Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts Saint-Luc Liège, il a approfondi ses compétences lors d'une formation professionnelle d'un an au London College of Printing. Ses séries majeures telles que "Nuit Blanche", "Chemins de Fraude", "Etre e(s)t paraître", "Anges", "Illuminances", "Twilight", "Zero Sun" et "Memento" ont été présentées dans diverses galeries et institutions, notamment la Galerie Clairefontaine, la Galerie d'Art Armand Gaasch et le Cercle Cité au Luxembourg, ainsi que la Biennale internationale de la photographie et des arts visuels BIP 2010 en Belgique. Certaines de ses œuvres sont également conservées dans les archives du CNA (Centre National de l'Audiovisuel) au Luxembourg.
