The Avs finally make their move for a goalie, trading for MacKenzie Blackwood from San Jose while sending Georgiev and Kovalenko back the other way. Can this new tandem of Blackwood and Wedgewood help this team start rattling off wins? How much does it hurt to give up Kovalenko? We've got a lot to catch up on, so let's get started. The Avalanche completed a 4-0 comeback against the Buffalo Sabres, which began with Georgiev giving up 4 goals on 8 shots again. However newly acquired backup Scott Wedgewood came into relief and galvanized the Avs to victory, washing out the taste of two disappointing performances againt Dallas and Edmonton. It's at a critical point with Georgiev, and after moving Justus Annunen for Wedgewood, the same might need to be done with Georgiev now.
