Ancient Earth is something we on the fringes of acceptable thought ponder regularly. What we may not ponder so readily or regularly, however, is condition of our Earth in the ancient past.

Practically every culture recognizes a flood story of some kind. So, it seems like we, as a human species, are quite familiar with this cataclysmic catastrophe. The question is then, what does that mean for the earth itself? Furthermore, what does that mean coming from a Biblical perspective. With verse like that of Isaiah talking about Sheol opening wider it’s mouth to receive all the workers of iniquity; and Genesis telling us that the fountains of the deep burst open to let the subterranean waters loose; what does it all mean?

That, my Dark Web Theologians, is what we plan to discuss today. So join us on this episode with David Paxton, as he breaks down concepts you may have theorized about, but to which you may have never given any true substance.

When it comes to education, our votes can shape policies that influence what future generations learn about truth, morality, and the role of faith in society. Many Christians are concerned about curricula that may neglect or contradict core biblical teachings, especially around issues of identity and morality. By supporting candidates and policies that promote educational environments respectful of parental rights and biblical values, Christians can help preserve space for faith-aligned teachings, ensuring children are equipped not only academically but also morally and spiritually.On topics like Israel and abortion, voting allows Christians to stand for biblical principles of life and covenant. Scripture speaks of God’s enduring relationship with Israel, and many Christians see a responsibility to support Israel as a means of honoring God’s promises. Voting can also influence how our nation engages diplomatically and supports allies in the region. On abortion, the Christian view of life as sacred from conception is foundational; voting for leaders who protect life aligns with this belief. These votes can directly impact legislation that either safeguards or undermines the sanctity of life. Exercising this civic duty is a way for Christians to reflect God’s love, justice, and truth in society.If you're on the fence about any or all of these issues, come join us and cast your ballot by reflecting on reality appropriately!

Voting is not just a civic duty but a deeply spiritual responsibility. As Christians, we are called to be salt and light in the world (Matthew 5:13-16), influencing society in ways that reflect God’s truth, justice, and love. By voting, believers have the opportunity to stand up for biblical values in the public sphere—whether it’s defending the sanctity of life, advocating for justice for the oppressed, or protecting religious freedoms. Ignoring the political process means forfeiting a critical opportunity to bring kingdom principles into the laws and policies that shape our culture. However, the growing public distrust in government—shared by many Christians and average citizens—leads some to feel that voting is more of a "dog and pony show," where the system is rigged and their voices won’t truly make a difference. This sense of disillusionment can be hard to overcome, but as Christians, we are still called to engage faithfully, even when the process seems broken. Voting remains an act of stewardship. Romans 13 teaches that government is ordained by God, and Christians have a responsibility to thoughtfully engage in the political process, even when the system seems flawed. While the system may seem imperfect, failing to vote can result in the further marginalization of kingdom principles in public life. Come listen and tell us what you think!
