Traveling for the last 13 years across 80 countries on The World's Longest Honeymoon, Mike & Anne are travel experts with a passion for glamping. In addition to chronicling their journey on HoneyTrek.com, the Howards have written National Geographic’s bestselling book Ultimate Journeys for Two and the first travel guide on glamping in North America, Comfortably Wild. Earning a Lowell Thomas Journalism Award for their book and the American Glamping Association’s 2024 Pioneer Award, the Howards are committed to the success of the glamping industry...from helping new camps develop their guest experience through HoneyTrek Glamping Consulting and Creative Services to reporting on the industry for Glamping Business Americas magazine. Here, they share some of their favorite experiences and glamping camps from their journey and their next big project...a global edition of Comfortably Wild. As of February 2025, they are embarking on a seven-continent quest to find the most mindful and inspiring getaways! Honing in on regenerative travel destinations, they want to spotlight properties that honor the environment, local communities, and guests, for vacations with a positive impact for all. In 2009, she founded the leading upscale outdoor hospitality brand Under Canvas, which she grew to a value of over $100M. Under Canvas received a spot on the coveted Inc. 5000 list in 2017, the same year that Sarah was also named to Ernst & Young’s EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women list.

Sarah is also the author of Thinking Bigger, which was written not only to tell Sarah’s entrepreneurial journey, but to guide and educate female entrepreneurs on how to grow, scale, fund, and build a big business.

Sarah is the cofounder of Few & Far, an eco-travel company, and the cofounder of Enygma Ventures, a venture capital fund that she launched after scaling up her first travel business, Under Canvas. She invests in women-led businesses in Southern Africa, creates solutions for wealth disparities, and champions access to capital for women.
