  • Furness Show 1-10: Danny O'Neil, Greg Cosell, Rob Rang.
    Jan 10 2025
We are live from Snoqualmie Casino! There's a ton going on here and there's a LOT to get to in the world of sports this weekend. Danny O'Neil, The Dang Apostrophe! Danny reacts to Ryan Grubb's firing, the proposed changes in college athletics if players don't have to be enrolled and the NOTHING the Mariners have done this off-season. Ian wishes the Mariners would give us anything positive to talk about then it comes to the team. They are wasting pitching talent - this time an entire rotation - to seemingly protect their profits and bottom line. Greg Cosell, NFL Films gives his perspective on the Ryan Grubb firing and which coaches out there would be a good fit for the Seahawks. As always, tells us what the tape says! Who does he see as the top quarterback in the draft this year? Ian, Anders and Jess give their biggest takeaways from Greg Cosell. The Daily Power Play! Rob Rang, FOX Sports.com gives Ian an upcoming look at this year's NFL draft. He breaks down the best position classes and those that aren't that inspiring.

  • Furness Show 1-9: Still No Moves for Mariners, Stewart Mandel, Corbin Smith.
    Jan 9 2025
The Mariners have still made #NoMoves - but if they land Roki Sasaki, and that's what they were holding out for, Ian says this would be a good offseason. If college athletes become salaried and don't have to attend school - what's next? Stewart Mandell, The Athletic gives his thoughts and insight on whether we'll see true salaried, non-scholarship players in college athletics. While people might think there are too many bowl games, the ratings reflect that we might need more! There is still quite an appetite for college football outside the top ranked teams in the country. Finally, Stewart previews the final four teams in the semi-finals. The Daily Power Play! Ian and Anders preview tonight's game against the Blue Jackets. Corbin Smith, Seahawks Maven and Locked on Seahawks has been chronicling the growing tension between Mike Macdonald and Ryan Grubb throughout the season and takes us back to week 9, which seems to be the changing point. Despite an unsuccessful season with an inconsistent offense, Mike Macdonald will be a success story here in Seattle.

  • Furness Show 1-8: Anne McCoy, Steve Palazzolo and Mike Holmgren
    Jan 8 2025
Our hearts go out to those affected by the Palisades fires. The Kings have postponed their game against the Flames tonight and the Rams vs. Vikings game is in question. Anne McCoy, WSU AD joins us to discuss the hiring of Jimmy Rogers, the latest with their scholarship situation and the financial obstacles in the NIL era. We continue to watch the devastating wildfires and outside of the tragedy, it could have an impact on the NFL. It's virtually impossible to reschedule a playoff game. Something good! Congratulations to Alyssa Charleston-Smith for winning WA Sportscaster of the Year! Steve Palazzolo, The 33rd Team reacts to the Ryan Grubb firing as well as other 'bBack Monday' moves. Who could be a fit here in Seattle? Finally, he previews the NFL Wild Card games this weekend. Mick Cronin went OFF on his team yesterday and we give it a listen. It truly exemplifies what's wrong with the NIL world. The Daily Power Play and Jackson Felts! Jackson weighs in on the Sounders' signing of Jesus Ferriera. Mike Holmgren joins us in studio and begins by talking about the tragic fires we're seeing take place in LA and shares his own similar experience with an earthquake when he was in San Francisco. We listen back to some of Mike Macdonald's comments yesterday and Coach gives his thoughts. He adds his own experiences in making tough termination decisions. Coach remains with us to talk about the style of offense that would help a quarterback. He shares his own experience and while he very much likes Mike Macdonald and appreciates the compliment he gave him, he still doesn't agree with the decision to part ways with Grubb.
