Njideka Chika Orji is known as the MEC — the Moms Empowerment Coach. She is a professional speaker, a popular MC and the winner of the PSASA Speaker Factor Competition 2023. She is also the author of ‘For the Love of Mothers’. A mother of four, Njideka recently welcomed a fifth new life into the family: Wiggle Kids Centre, a crèche where children can learn and grow with sound values as their mothers step back into the world.

In this interview, Njideka shares her story of empowering mothers, igniting purpose and how the speaking profession called to her.

Besides her wacky sense of humour, our guest is known for her musical & acting talent & golden voice.

She grew up wanting to be an actor, but her life was turned upside down, by an incorrect - then late diagnosis - leading to her enrolling for a degree in Psychology. She is currently in her final undergraduate year.

When not studying or working, you’ll find her scuba diving. She is a qualified rescue diver & currently writing her first novel.

She represented SA internationally in Performing Arts & Modelling at the International Model & Talent Association in New York;

She achieved full academic & cultural colours in her final year at school, featured in TV adverts, a Showmax series & various theatre productions;

… all of this, while attempting to navigate undiagnosed ADHD, anxiety & depression.
