Congratulations to THE Ohio State football team for capturing another national championship, first of its kind under the current 12-team tournament format. Me and D discussed what's more important to Buckeyes fans, a title or beating Michigan? To some, probably a win over your hated rival is important, but who doesn't appreciate a trophy?

We also gave a quick glimpse of which teams are playing well so far in men's and women's college basketball and we updated the current NFL coaching hiring and firings. Reminder, this was recorded on 1/23/2025, prior to Pete Carroll being named the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders.

We're down to the final games of the NFL season and none is bigger than tonight's MVP Bowl between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills. Each team is looking to get back to the Super Bowl for the first time in awhile, especially the Bills, however, they will have to go through each other and the Kansas City Chiefs to do so. And though the starting QBs, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, are the focal points, it's running back Derrick Henry who should be the difference-maker for the Ravens if they are to advance. We finally know which teams will be playing in the College Football Playoff national title game: Notre Dame and Ohio State - congrats to both! Me and D discussed the Fighting Irish's big win over Penn State while the Ohio State-Texas game was being played, while also going over the NFL's Wildcard Weekend action.

Also, if you were Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, would you be offended that your owner blocked you from interviewing with other teams even though he has shown up to now (pending a new contract) that he doesn't appreciate you? Happy New Year from Me and D! In our first episode of 2025, we also discussed Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler's request to be traded which led to him being suspended for seven games. Jimmy wearing out his welcome with a team has been a trend of his these last few years.
