Today, we learn a huge lesson from The Follower, a key, maybe THĒ key to the spiritual life i.e. the reality of what someone has called The Magnificent Obsession, that the believer is fixated, in what may appear to some as an unhealthy preoccupation, he or she is obsessed with God's word of grace and truth.

Today, we're going to look at the opposite of justice which is not mercy but injustice; how injustice is the outgrowth of something we all tolerate in ourselves and that is, idolatry and arrogance. Idolatry, arrogance and injustice walk together in this fallen world… Let's look at:

In the Christian Faith, justice and mercy are central (Ps 85.10). We traffic in mercy and justice a lot more than we think.

As with most of the passages in Kings, today's strikes us as odd…and difficult to apply but it offers a crucial and often-misunderstood vision of mercy and justice so let's jump in:
