  • Berners Street Hoax | The Greatest Prank of the 1800s!
    Jan 14 2025
The Berners Street Hoax happened in 1810 in London. It all started as a bet between two friends. One claimed he could make everyone in the city talk about one house on Berners Street. To win, he sent out fake invitations and requests to dozens of people. On the set day, chaos took over Berners Street. Tradespeople arrived with deliveries no one had ordered. Doctors and priests came for emergencies that didn’t exist. Thousands of curious onlookers clogged the narrow street, making moving impossible. This hoax disrupted the neighborhood and became a story told for generations. Even today, the Berners Street Hoax is remembered as one of history’s most elaborate pranks. • Painless Parker | This Circus Dentist Defied the Law and Pulled Teeth for Fame
    Dec 17 2024
What would you do if your dentist wore a necklace made of human teeth? Sounds wild, right? This was the reality for Painless Parker, a dentist unlike any other in history. Parker’s story blends dental work, circus acts, and a love for showmanship that made him famous (and infamous) during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Painless Parker, originally named Edgar R. Parker, was born in 1872 in New Brunswick, Canada. He wasn’t the best student and struggled in school. After getting expelled from two universities, Parker tried different jobs, like selling pots and pans and working on ships. None of these suited him. Edgar didn’t give up. He moved to Philadelphia and attended another dental college, where he finally graduated. He soon opened a dental office but struggled to attract patients. At that time, advertising dental services was considered unethical. To solve this, Parker got creative. Inspired by circus promoters, he partnered with a former PT Barnum worker named William Beebe. Together, they created a traveling dental circus. Painless Parker became his new name and his new brand. So stupidly funny

So I would come to listen about the topic the episode is about but jaron and Tim would spend a lot of the time not even talking about the subject, just kinda giggling about stupid jokes. Besides that sometimes you can learn quite cool information and also they were quite funny.
