The best comedy (and sports) show for 19 years and counting.
If you want to be completely entertained and still scratch that itch of sports talk without the "talking heads", this is the show.
Fred and Hardy have a skilled comedic chemistry between them and have been described by industry colleagues as "vinegar & vinegar". "Freddy No Pockets" is a man of the people, providing that slice of life you need on a nice breezy day. Hardy's curmudgen attitude is juxtaposed nicely with his comedic timing and skilled production bits. It's hard to tell if his attitude is just an act due to his stolen valor of local utility company clothing and free golf apparel. Does he know how use a table saw or even know how to fix your your golf swing? It's possible he talks about it on his 7am Saturday morning Golf Show, but nobody really knows for sure.
Fred and Hardy, in-between their laughter and well-choreographed sports takes, can be found donating their time and patience as speech pathologists for young talents such as sheet-defication-aficionado Nicholas, along with tenderly caring for an elderly and flightless bird named Wallach, the Celtics' best play-by-play announcer in his own right.
Adam-12 (the show's fantastic producer) sometimes loses the audience with his refusal to entertain cost saving recommendations as he galavants around the world. To be a little more relatable, he should instead just sell his mega yacht and private jet, and get a used bicycle, a library card and have a free community spaghetti dinner so that he can just talk with us normal folk.
5 stars.
Also, sometimes the commercial audio levels don't match the podcast volume and are played during conversations instead of during breaks.
