Forgiveness can lead to family healing and restoration. Notice the way God often works when forgiveness is needed.

1. God may give us chances to transact forgiveness. (42:3-5)

2. God may use circumstances to incline our hearts toward forgiveness. (42:21-24a)

3. God is acknowledged and honored when we recognize His will through forgiveness. (45:1-5)

1. Is there anyone that you need to ask to forgive you?

2. Is there anyone that you need to forgive?

3. How has God been at work through the circumstances surrounding this need of forgiveness?

4. What hinders you from forgiving them?

5. How has God forgiven you? Can this be a motivation?

We can learn three truths about our need and God’s provision that should inform how we live.

1. Complaining demonstrates a lack of trust in God. (v.11-15)
2. Trusting God for our needs is His desire. (v.16-19)
3. Trusting God for our needs will work out for us. (v.17:1-6)

2. People with false hope.

3. People with true hope.
