Hello there and Merry Christmas! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 211th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today’s holiday lesson, we will be discussing Qwilfish: the Balloon Pokémon. I bet you’re wondering what this little fella has to do with balloons. Well, inquisitive student, that’s because Qwilfish will drink over 2.6 gallons of water to inflate its body just before attacking. Speaking of inflation, Qwilfish will try to puff up and increase its body size to match its opponent… no matter how large. It doesn’t matter if it’s facing a Tyranitar or a Wailord, Qwilfish will still try. There’s more to learn about Qwilfish, so please take detailed notes, and enjoy today’s talent show! Lessons resume on February 5.

    Dec 18 2024

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 210th lesson on Pokémon biology. In this lesson, we will be discussing Granbull: the Fairy Pokémon and evolved form of Snubbull. Remember those tiny baby teeth Snubbull had? Well, they’ve been replaced with heavy fangs on Granbull’s lower jaw! So fierce, right!? Well, not actually. Granbull is known for being very timid and sensitive. So much so that it makes Snubbull look like a scary monster. That may be an exaggeration. The point is: Granbull is actually a big baby. But there’s more to learn about Granbull, so lock in and take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 209th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today’s class, we return to the Day Care to learn about Snubbull: the Fairy Pokémon. This cute little baby is a favorite among women… and Corbin. Although it has a fierce-looking appearance, Snubbull is actually quite timid and cowardly. But once it gets to know you, Snubbull is all play all day! Don’t be fooled: there’s a lot of love and affection in that tiny body. And there’s so much to learn about Snubbull, so make sure you take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 208th lesson on Pokémon biology. And today's lesson is all about Steelix: the Iron Snake Pokémon and evolved form of Onix. This giant, fearsome Pokémon can burrow underground up to sixth-tenths of a mile - that’s nearly a mile! Steelix is able to effortlessly chew boulders as it digs, crunching up anything in its path. And when it comes to a sturdy hide, Steelix is unmatched. Due to constant exposure to heat and pressure underground, Steelix has developed a body harder than diamonds. And there’s more to learn about Steelix, so please take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 207th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today’s class in Corbin’s apartment, we will be learning all about Gligar: the Fly Scorpion Pokémon! And fly it does… right into your unsuspecting face! Gligar is known for stealthily gliding through the air and into its prey’s face, where it clamps down and jabs them with its stinger. Maybe not the best Pokémon for the kids to play with. And there’s more to learn about Gligar, including its ties to Thanksgiving in Johto, so make sure you take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 206th lesson on Pokémon biology. And for today’s lesson, we will be discussing Dunsparce: the Land Snake Pokémon. This normal type Pokémon is a floater, meaning it uses its tiny wings to float around... duh. Many researchers believe these wings were once used to help Dunsparce fly during ancient times. But now, Dunsparce is all about the ground. When it wants to escape, Dunsparce uses its tail to burrow into the ground backwards. I said BACKWARDS - that’s some serious skillz! And there’s more to learn about Dunsparce, so take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 205th lesson on Pokémon biology. And in today’s class, we will be discussing Forretress: the Bagworm Pokémon. This bug & steel type is a tough cookie! Forretress is encased in a hard shell, which it uses to defend itself by shooting parts of it out at enemies. Talk about shell shocking… am I right!? But here’s the thing about Forretress: no one actually knows what’s inside the shell. The world’s greatest mystery perhaps? Maybe not, but it's still something to think about! And there’s more to learn about Forretress, so make sure you take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 204th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today’s class, we will be learning about Pineco: the Bagworm Pokémon. This cute little bug type Pokémon is encased in a protective shell, which it makes thicker by gluing tree bark to its body. And the glue it uses is homegrown, baby! It’s made from Pineco’s spit, which hardens when exposed to air. And there’s more to learn about this little fella, so strap in and take notes!
