In our 12th episode, Jeff introduced Josue to the music of Frank Sinatra, exploring his classic album 'Classic Sinatra' which features his greatest performances from 1953 to 1960. They discuss their favorite tracks, the well-crafted lyrics and unique skills of Sinatra, and the cultural significance of his work. They also touch on the evolution of music and how Sinatra's style continues to influence artists today. But first, a quiz that tells us what kind of mobster Josue really is!

We are full on into Christmas mode, and a week listening to Bing Crosby has inspired us to make it two weeks with this nostalgia-infused holiday ‘classic’ — White Christmas! There’s singing, there’s dancing, there is a smidgen of holiday cheer…but is there snow?? We all agree there should be snow, right? And also Christmas? Let’s find out. We've got giant turkey legs, we've got cake, we've got a showdown between Reese's Pieces and M&M's...and it's all leading up to a homemade spaghetti sauce that will make your mouth water. So grab a fork, a knife, and a medieval-sized drumstick, and see whether you think your taste buds might be up for the challenge.

Uncle Joe's Tomato Sauce

2 Cans Plum Tomatoes

- Italian n juice

- (You can also use 3 cans tomato sauce + 1 can tomato paste or diced tomatoes)

1/2 can tomato paste

1 Onion (medium) Chopped/diced

4-5 cloves garlic

- Mashed in a garlic masher

- Or crushed with teaspoon and chopped

Hot pepper flakes

- Crushed red pepper

Olive oil in sauce pan

- Saute garlic/onion

- Season with pepper

- (Potentially add 1 tsp salt for flavor)

- (Can also add meat or sausage etc at this time)

Add 1/2 can tomato paste + 2 cans tomatoes

- Crush tomatoes before putting in

- Add a little red wine

- (Same amount of wine as tomato paste)

- (or water/sugar to balance out hot pepper)

Oregano - sprinkle on top

Fresh basil

Grated Parmesan cheese

- (A little handful)

Let it “boil”

- Add a pinch of baking soda

- Then low and simmer for 4-5 hours

- Stir frequently

Today we look to the stars, but not before we clean the lasagna out of the litter box. That’s right, we are covering two nostalgic throwbacks! One is widely considered a classic, and the other flies a little below the radar. See if you can guess which is which. But lucky for us, both feature some candy, candy, candy, candy.

We’ll begin with a short, animated special that follows Garfield the cat on his very first trick-or-treating adventure. And he’s invited Odie, you and us along for the ride. After that animated appetizer, we revisit the Steven Spielberg + John Williams juggernaut, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. He may be ugly, but he’s endearing. Also kids in the 80’s were crazy. The era did bring us some iconic, cinema soundtracks, so we also have an audio quiz to get us in the mood.
