  • Summary

  • Two Dope Boys in a Navy jet. The Wingmen Show is a weekly podcast about challenges and opportunities in everyday life. Your hosts are two guys born in Harlem, New York previously unknown to each other. Separately, they became Navy pilots flying high performance jet aircraft on and off of aircraft carriers patrolling the world’s oceans. Their paths did not cross formally until they ended up flying for the same airline after their active-duty military service had ended. They have a wide range of experiences spanning the worlds of basketball and boxing. Drew’s father is Drew Bundini Brown, Muhammad Ali’s Wingman and coined the iconic phrase “Float Like A Butterfly Sting, Like A Bee". Martial Arts and Show Business are also areas of mutual interest. Drew has been featured nationally on television programs such as the Donahue Show and the Today Show. He has also appeared in hundreds of newspapers and magazines. Both are published authors as well as former Navy jet pilots and Commercial Airline Pilots; they retired after having flown the Boeing 777 airliner. The cultural mix of religions, immigrant parents and grandparents from Europe and the Caribbean gives them an uncommon perspective on racial matters. Melding the cultures of New York City, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Memphis, the Caribbean and Atlanta has helped shape their worldview when combined with the life they have seen and experienced having flown extensively to countries throughout the world. They are wingmen to each other, providing advice, guidance and constructive criticism when needed. The goal of the show is to inspire and entertain those unafraid to expand their minds and perhaps learn something new in the hope that the listeners can become wingmen to others. Each one, teach one.

  • How to Believe Climate Change is Real? Don’t Evacuate From This New Extreme Weather!
    Oct 15 2024

Sent us text! We would love to hear from you!

Consider the words of the late, great martial artist Bruce Lee; “Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless, and add what is specifically your own”. These ingredients, taken in any order, can lead to a successful life in minimum time.

Mother Nature is not a respecter of persons or politics. The forces of nature will act on everyone and everything. We must all be willing to face the facts. Significant weather events have increased in frequency and severity in the past few years. Your particular geography will not necessarily save you from every threat; be prepared. As a matter of common sense it is advisable to make emergency preparations to be able to survive with limited resources for a few days, before conditions normalize after severe weather or some other natural event.

Health is wealth. If you have a loved one who resists positive lifestyle changes, keep working with them. Become a good example of what you wish for them by being consistent in a sensible fitness and nutrition program. If they are hesitant, use your powers of persuasion to at least get them started. Once started, give them small goals to accomplish. Start out with baby steps. With consistency they will begin to improve, self-pacing themselves in this new health journey; small gains will motivate them internally.

Take the time to stay positive; studies show it will lengthen your life. Avoid one of the biggest causes of self-sabotage, negative self-talk. Instead, make a conscious effort to take note of your blessings so that you can feed your faith and starve your doubts.

Meet a wingman who gives life while giving up a part of herself, literally.

  • How To Be An African Giant? Answer: Block Shots and Build Hospitals!
    Oct 8 2024

Sent us text! We would love to hear from you!

Use passion to your advantage to accomplish your goals, especially the hard ones. There is good news in the world and funny things two. Former President Jimmy Carter just reached the age of 100. He likely owes some of his extraordinary longevity to being a kind person; as a general rule, you don’t see a lot of really mean old people walking around. Batman is now the first superhero to get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The late Dikembe Mutombo was a bigger giant off the basketball court than he was playing on the hardwood. Although best known for his bubbling personality and athleticism, his greatest accomplishment was his contribution to a nation. He took on a personal project to build a modern hospital in his homeland in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His contribution has provided quality health care to thousands of people in a war-torn land where basic life is hard. As an NBA Goodwill ambassador, his philanthropy has been recognized both in the United States as well as the international community, well beyond the world of sports.

Don’t let low-vibrational people get you down. You are the master of your own moods and destiny. It costs nothing to be nice.

Just a bit of bad news for the city of Chicago. In a recent review of the world’s top 50 best restaurants for pizza, New York City was ranked #1 and sadly Chicago didn’t even make the list.

Meet a wingman, a member of the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame who has inspired generations of aviators and aerospace professionals who would have never gotten involved in this challenging and dynamic world without the exposure and training he provided.

From Passion to Purpose: Using Your Gifts to Help Others

In a world brimming with challenges, finding our purpose can often seem like an overwhelming task. Yet, there’s something profoundly fulfilling about leveraging our unique gifts and passions to make a difference in the lives of others. Young adults today are increasingly searching for ways to turn their talents into tools for positive change. Whether it's through creative arts, technical skills, or compassionate activism, we all possess the potential to contribute meaningfully to society. This blog explores how you can transform your passion into purpose by using your unique gifts to help those in need.

One of the first steps in turning your passion into purpose is discovering what truly ignites your soul. Is it music that sets your spirit free? Perhaps it's painting, writing, coding, or even cooking? Reflecting on what brings you joy and fulfillment can be a powerful indicator of where your strengths lie. For instance, if you're passionate about art and creativity, consider using these talents to support community projects or local charities. Murals that brighten up public spaces or art classes for underprivileged kids can have a profound impact on communities that lack access to artistic resources.

Once you've identified your passion, it’s important to seek out opportunities where your skills are needed. Volunteering with local organizations is an excellent way to start. Many non-profits are constantly looking for enthusiastic individuals who can lend their expertise—whether it's designing promotional materials, creating websites, or organizing events. By volunteering your time and energy, not only do you gain valuable experience but you also forge connections with like-minded individuals who share similar values and aspirations.

Another critical aspect of using your gifts for good is understanding the specific needs of those you're aiming to help. Spending time with communities and listening actively can provide insights into how best you can apply your talents effectively. If technology ex

  • How to be a Billionaire and NOT go to Jail for Life!
    Oct 1 2024

Sent us text! We would love to hear from you!

Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was known as a proponent of stoic wisdom. Had he lived longer, he probably would have come up with the phrase, “Be All You Can Be”, centuries before the US Army used it in recruiting ads on TV.

There are good things happening everyday. As an example, multi-billionaire Elon Musk is teaming up with the phone company T-mobile, in an effort to integrate his Star Link satellite service with their cellphone system. The goal is to allow people in remote sections around the earth with little to no cellphone service to be able to communicate to rescuers without charge and get critical assistance whenever it is needed.

Commander Drew shares a special distinction with the famous singer Dolly Parton. Both have been recognized for their significant contributions to the people in the state of Kentucky and officially designated as Kentucky Colonels; the state’s highest civilian award.

It’s probably cool to be a billionaire, but it may have some drawbacks. Many of the negatives can be avoided when assuming a low profile. But the emergence of high profile super moguls has created another category of wealthy people who receive constant coverage from the media for getting in some kind of needless trouble.

Mixing a little watercress with your salads, soups, or smoothies can provide a wide range of hidden health benefits, especially for those whose diet could use a serious upgrade.

Meet a unique wingman from a rival cargo company that delivered the gift of life to a person in need.
