Keepers of the Ring

In 1587, a fleet of English ships set sail for the Virginia colony. During a storm, one ship became separated from the others and was never seen again. The settlers on board were presumed lost at sea, but there is both historical and legendary evidence that the colonists actually founded the Roanoke colony.

Gilda, Fallon, Noshi: Three children, the sole survivors of the Roanoke massacre. Fallon, the oldest, made a solemn pledge to protect his younger charges at all costs. But before long, they are torn apart; Fallon is sentenced to death, saved at the last moment and sent to England; Noshi is sold as a slave; and Gilda is claimed by her cousin Pocahontas. But Fallon has not forgotten Noshi or Gilda. And so he overcomes all odds to return to America and fulfill his pledge to his murdered parents.

Daniel hated his brother. He knew it was wrong; knew his parents would be grieved if they discovered what was in his heart. But he had his fill of living in Taregan's shadow… Taregan the bold, the athletic, the courageous. How Daniel despised him! His only hope was to somehow escape Taregan and the life he'd always known. Then British soldiers arrive, bringing with them the perfect opportunity, which Daniel accepts.

Daniel Bailie takes his children, Mojag and Aiyana, to minister to the praying Indians. Mojag, however, abandons his father's ministry, feeling that he's been led to serve the heathen Indians, who are on the brink of war with the colonists. Travel back to an amazing period in America's past and experience the people and ideas that shaped the founding of our nation.

Concluding the Keepers of the Ring series, Hunt follows the exploration and colonization of America and the spread of the gospel to both colonists and Native Americans.
