About this listen

What happens when someone steps into the lifestyle blindly? Talia is about to find out. It seems like all fun and games until she pairs up with the wrong Dom.

Luckily, she's attracted the attention of another Dom, and he's in hot pursuit. Talia is caught in the middle, torn between fear and desire, pleasure and pain, and intrigue for the new stranger who could either be her savior or her undoing.

This is a stand alone novel.

A little switching up!

Micah is a man on the verge of changing his lifestyle. Previously a dom, he is struggling with the decision. When he enters a local club and sees Talia with a man destined to abuse her, his dom side kicks back in and his need to care and protect her takes over. After a horrible experience as a submissive, but still interested in the lifestyle, Talia toys with the idea of becoming a dominatrix. Who better to practice on but her new protector, Micah? These two have strong chemistry, and their relationship fun to watch evolve. Talia is so confused, but determined to be in charge. Her experience has left her hurt not just physically, but the trust for men has been diminished. Micah is a patient man, and finds his attraction to Talia so strong that he is willing to work with her. I love this in him, and enjoyed getting to know their story.

The narration by Karl Falkenhayn was a little off for me. His voice was great but there is much hesitancy in the flow. I am not sure if it is the editing or his flow, but I did find it at times to be distracting. His voices and inflections were great and if the pace had been consistent, the listen would have been much more enjoyable.

Ruined by the narration

I enjoyed sky Corgan's books but I couldn't get past the first chapter on this one, mostly due to the narrator. I'm not sure who approved this performance, because it's awful. He sounds constipated. And from the little part I could get through, the protagonist sounds like a complete asshole. If not for the narration, I may have actually given it a chance, but this was just too painful to listen any more.

Reader has too many pauses

Too many pauses, drives me nuts. Story is so so. Just because you don't agree with how different pop do things don't mean they are fake. Plus ppl new in it have to start somewhere.

Seriously, I couldn't listen to the recording!

To be honest, I can't tell you whether the story is very good or not- but, i really like Sky Corgan so I wanted to listen. I am never picky about the narrators- I may not love some but I keep listening until I get used to them. Until now.

Really- NOT every OTHER word NEEDS to BE emphasized. It was so painful to try to listen. Reminded me of watching a young boy in his first elementary school play where he over-acts all over the place.... yelling and throwing himself all over the place. Except the little boy would be precious. This guy was only obnoxiously painful!

I'd love to try this book again if you could find a normal narrator.

Narrator was bad

Storyline was good but narrator was not. I always enjoyed Sky Corgan books. Im would rather just read this title.
