Publisher's summary

All James wanted was a little solitude at his favorite resort: bright sunshine overhead, soft, white sand underfoot, and a hammock to read in while the warm breeze rustles through the coconut palms and almond trees. However, when an old acquaintance shows up, and James is obliged to share "his" beach, a profound exchange over a bottle of rum leads to a lust-fueled encounter in the dark.

Reeling from the intensity of the drunken tryst, James decides to cut his vacation short rather than face what he's kept hidden under mountains of denial.

However, his escape is thwarted when Rudie, handsome and plainspoken, calls him out on his behavior and makes him see that life needn't be spent running away from his desires.

Set at a rundown old resort on a small Caribbean island, The Last Nights of the Frangipani Hotel is a story about letting go of fear and learning that passion and love can be found in the most unexpected of places.

So Incredibly Good!

Holy Merde - as f'ing hot as that was to read, Nick J. Russo completely knocked that one out of the park! Seriously one of the dirtiest books I've ever enjoyed made even hotter... now I've got to go back and re-read it. Those characters - the situation - the way Rudie admits all his kinks and then how James rises up to embrace them. The way James comes to grips with his sexuality. Gah, it is incredible. Soooo good.

Loved this little book

Great book with very likable quirky characters. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrator. It was a quickie, only 2 hours and 16 minutes in length. I found myself wishing for a little more.

Mehhh

Story was good. And I love Nick J. Russo. Usually. He does horrible British and German accents though. 😖

Delicious

Second time listening to Bey Deckard’s short story of an older man learning to accept and enjoy his bisexuality with a charming fellow actor. The island setting in a resort hotel losing its former glory is just right for a deepening tryst.
The second book in Bey’s Actor’s series has quite a bit more descriptive detail than the first. Just yum! I’m glad the story ended on a the promise of an HEA.
