Ali Chappell is a Registered Dietitian who holds a Master of Science (MS) and a PhD in nutrition and metabolism, specializing in reproductive endocrinology. She has an extensive background in the field, including a post-doctoral research fellowship in Women's Health funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has also participated in the National Science Foundation Innovation Corp (I-Corp) program for science-based startups. As a woman with PCOS, Ali openly shares her personal journey and struggles with the condition, aiming to create a connection with other women facing similar challenges. In her book, "Low Insulin Lifestyle," she shares a compelling story of pain, passion, and perseverance. Throughout her career, Ali has been wholeheartedly dedicated to bridging the education gap for individuals dealing with PCOS. Her efforts encompass extensive research, advocacy, and education, all aimed at supporting and empowering patients navigating the complexities of PCOS and insulin resistance. In addition to her research and expertise, Dr. Chappell is the Founder and CEO of Lilli Health, an organization focused on providing education to women with PCOS on adopting a low insulin lifestyle. She resides on the Texas coast with her husband, Johnny Mack Chappell, who serves as the COO of Lilli Health, along with their two young children. Outside of her professional pursuits, Ali cherishes spending quality time with her family, being near water, and indulging in a glass of red wine, preferably all at once.
