Alissa Wilkinson is a film critic at the New York Times and was formerly a senior correspondent and critic at Vox. She’s the author of “We Tell Ourselves Stories: Joan Didion and the American Dream Machine” (Liveright, March 11, 2025), and he previous book, “Salty: Lessons on Eating, Drinking, and Living from Revolutionary Women,” was published in 2022. Alissa holds an MA in humanities and social thought from New York University and an MFA in creative nonfiction writing from Seattle Pacific University, and lives in Brooklyn.
