Annie Moore Martin graduated from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Over her career, she owned and operated three small animal clinics in Nebraska and Kansas. Upon moving to Kenya, she worked with children on the street, building several group homes for them on church properties. Because of the great need, she facilitated outreaches to schools and churches alongside young people infected with HIV/AIDS. Realizing that many alcoholics and drug addicts in Kenya were thrown into mental hospitals or prisons, she started three Teen Challenge rehabilitation centers. Annie writes newsletters and speaks at women’s conferences and churches throughout the US. She and her husband, John, make their home in Ozark, Missouri, near their three adult children and two granddaughters.
