Bobby Hutchinson lives for, breathes in, reads and writes books. She lives in a little coal mining town in the Canadian Rockies which she’s writing about in a new series of short reads called “Starwood Chronicles.” The first in the series is BIGGEST LITTLE TRUCKSTOP. She's never run a restaurant. She isn’t a private investigator, she doesn’t do phone sex for money and she’s not running a dating service. But some of her wonderful, gregarious female friends have done all of the above, and she’s used their hands on research for her books. She has directed traffic around construction sites, owned a boutique full of clothes she designed, and run several popular B&B’s. She writes of her madcap experience in HOW NOT TO RUN A B&B. She loves to cook, listen to guest’s life stories and also eavesdrop on private conversations at Starbucks. She's currently working on three or four or eight more books. She has six enchanting grandchildren. She lives alone, apart from guests and two rabbits, meditates, bikes, walks, reads incessantly, and writes compulsively. She likes a quote by Dolly Parton: “Decide who you are, and then do it on purpose.” Hearing from readers is the high point in her life. The book contains recipes that work, advice that is sometimes successful, and stories that weren't meant to be amusing, but seem to make readers laugh a lot. Her latest historical romance is MEDICINE WOMAN, set in Medicine Hat, Alberta. It's the third in the Western Prairie Brides series. Mary Ferguson is one of the first women doctors on the Canadian prairies, and like women today, it's a challenge to balance a career and a personal life. Can she find love and still do the work she loves? Ahhh, you'll have to read the book.
