I am a devoted father to two wonderful kids and a loving husband to an amazing wife, Heather. My journey has been rich and varied, deeply rooted in a commitment to service. As a United States Marine Corps veteran, I served as an infantryman with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, experiences that instilled in me a profound sense of duty and resilience. Following my military service, I transitioned to roles in federal and local law enforcement, working as a counter-intelligence federal agent and detective. These roles have not only honed my investigative skills but have also deepened my understanding of the complex dynamics between law enforcement and community engagement. Rooted in faith, I am a child of God who finds joy in spiritual growth and sharing the Gospel. My passion for language learning and literature extends to my family as we explore the beauty of Portuguese together. Writing, particularly children's literature, is a cherished creative outlet for me, allowing me to inspire young minds to embrace language and the teachings of Christ. Beyond crafting stories for children, I am dedicated to exploring and addressing critical issues in public administration and law enforcement. My writing in these areas aims to bridge the gap between citizens and officers, promoting understanding, respect, and unity in our ever-evolving world. My academic journey reflects my dedication to continuous learning and leadership. I have studied at the Marine Corps University, gaining foundational military knowledge and leadership skills that have been instrumental throughout my career. Furthering my education, I attended Hawaii Pacific University and Cleveland State Community College, where I engaged in diverse fields of study, enriching my understanding and perspective. Currently, I am completing my Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Organizational Management at American Military University, a milestone that represents my commitment to excellence and my aspiration to contribute meaningfully to the field of public administration.
