Brian E. Scott was born and raised in 1964; a couple of miles from the big, GMC Truck plant which used to manufacture trucks and buses until the late 1980's in Pontiac, Michigan. Although that was a huge influence in his becoming fond of trucks, it wasn't his strongest influence. That greatest influence came by way of not the ordinary. This influence came by way of his mother. She loved trucks as a little girl growing up in rural Michigan but never got the chance to drive them, let alone even see the inside of one. She received her first ride at the age of 69 in a big truck by way of her son, who took her on a trip from Roanoke Virginia, to Washington DC and back. Brian's dad was a light aircraft pilot, and so a secondary love was instilled at a young age in that of aviation. Brian received his first ride in a plane, a Piper Cub at the age of one year old. Although he was frightened on takeoff, which had to be aborted, the second try was the charm. Brian's been in love with planes ever since and his love of aviation almost surpassed his love of trucks. Brian E. Scott is also an Air Force veteran, and served four years before separating from military service with an honorable discharge in 1987. Brian's writing reflects his life experiences. His books include; military life, the trucking industry, a children's book on how his father became an aviator, and also include books on his other interests: The paranormal. Brian lives in South Carolina with his wife Kerstin and two Miniature Poodle/Bichon mix dogs Pete and JoJo.
