Catherine has written dozens of books - primarily historical in nature. She writes family-friendly historical fiction, simple to understand non-fiction, and is co-editor of a growing art appreciation series, Enjoying Great Art. Most of her books are available in paperback and e-book versions.

Catherine travels regularly, with and without her children. She wrote her first travel journal when she was nine years old, when her family traveled from Panama to the United States. Since then she has traveled extensively throughout the United States, including following the Lewis and Clark Trail, and making several trips to Europe. As part of those travels she has authored an entire series of travel books, the Horsey and Friends series, where their travel stories are told by a stuffed animal!
