Chandramouli Venkatesan (Mouli) has a 27-year track record in Indian industry across sectors. He is currently CEO (Special Projects) at Pidilite Industries Limited where he is engaged in starting up a new business while mentoring several of the existing businesses and functions. Prior to that, his last role was as the Managing Director for Mondelēz India (erstwhile Cadbury India). Mouli joined the company in 2005 and was there till 2016 in a variety of roles spanning marketing, HR and business leadership in India and Asia Pacific levels. His contribution to the business over those 11 years has been commendable, particularly in driving the aggressive growth of the Chocolate Category in India, executing the highly successful launch of Oreo in India as well as in building a highly talented organisation. Prior to this Mouli was in Indian consumer durable major Onida (TV, Washing machines, Air Conditioners etc.) as the head of Sales & Marketing for four years. His first nine years was with Asian Paints India Limited taking up sales and marketing roles having joined them straight from business school. Mouli is also a successful Author with his first book “Catalyst” which was published in Feb 2018 already declared a bestseller. This book is on a topic which he is very passionate about, which is about helping people succeed. Mouli has done over 65 speaking assignments on this topic covering 48 companies till now. He holds Master of Business Administration (1991 pass out) in Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur a premiere management institute in India, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.
