Cheryl Aguiar resides in the coastal New England town of Westport Massachusetts, where she is a self-employed small business owner. Cheryl and her husband Jim live in a quaint country cabin-style home designed and built by themselves, located in the same woods where she grew up exploring as a child. These days, besides running her Beauty Salon, she still enjoys exploring nature and traveling our beautiful country whenever possible. They also own land in the small town of New Vineyard, Maine, which has acres of mountainous woods to explore. Cheryl began taking an interest in capturing the beauty that surrounds us and pursued teaching herself the art of photography. In 2014 she founded Roadside Stills by Cheryl, were she could showcase her Nature and Wildlife photography. Since early childhood, Cheryl has had a strong connection and in-depth admiration for Mother Nature and all her fascinating wildlife. Jim has since nicknamed her Pocahontas, claiming she has a special gift when it comes to wild animals. He says "She gains their trust almost immediately. It is quite amazing to see.” Cheryl’s next venture would prove to be the most unexpected and life changing yet. After a family of Great Horned Owls that she had been watching suddenly fell victims to a nesting tragedy, Cheryl found herself in the midst of a dangerous rescue mission. Astonished by the willingness of this family to accept her help, Cheryl felt compelled to share the story of how these amazing, majestic birds showed such compassion in ways that most people would never get a chance to see. Her passion for wildlife and entrepreneurial spirit then spiraled upwards, opening windows of opportunity that she had never dreamed of before. Cheryl wanted the rest of the world to hear her story, so she taught herself how to compose, format and self-publish her own book. A book sharing the captivating encounter with one of Mother Nature's most fierce predators. Since then, she has thoroughly enjoyed the overwhelming appreciation from her readers and continues to self-promote her first book. Cheryl is continuing to evolve her passion for nature and has opened the next chapter into the care and rehabilitation of wildlife. A second book about her experiences is certainly in her future, so be sure to follow Cheryl's journey! 2018 Feathered Quill Book Awards - 3rd Place Bronze Medal - Animal/Adult 2017 International Book Awards Winner - Animals/Pets: Narrative Non-Fiction Category 2017 Readers' Favorite Bronze Medal Award Winner - Non-Fiction Animals 2017 Best Book Awards Finalist - Animal/Pets Narrative Non-Fiction * Available in eBook, Color or Black/White Paperbacks, Hardcover and Audio Book Follow Cheryl on Facebook or Instagram https://www.facebook.com/cherylaguiar https://www.instagram.com/cherylaguiar_author Visit Cheryl’s website at www.cherylaguiar.com
