Christine Woodside grew up in a large family in Princeton, New Jersey and has spent the past several decades in southeastern Connecticut. She has hiked thousands of miles in the eastern U.S. including the entire Appalachian Trail. She is the editor of the mountaineering journal APPALACHIA. Her earlier book ENERGY INDEPENDENCE was a journalist's inquiry into how an ordinary American might radically reduce fossil-fuel consumption. Visit Chris at https://chriswoodside.com/
