I write fiction at the intersection of people and technology, typing away mornings and nights in coffee shops and on airplanes in the spare time around my full-time gig. I have over two decades of experience as a data researcher, technology consultant, and software executive and bring what I've learned about tech (and what scares me about tech) into my writing. My opinions on technology have been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Teen Vogue (no joke.) I wrote a book about Twitter data called Trendology but have switched over to fiction and I'm not looking back. Join my Insiders email list and get news on upcoming books other interesting stuff I'm checking out. -> http://chris-kerns.com/insiders-list/ Other facts: - I live in Austin, Texas with my lovely wife and two troublemaking kids. - I taught myself Python building a site that let people challenge each other to sleep contests via the Fitbit API called SleepWars. It had a sheep in an army helmet for the logo. It was pretty cool. - To research Crash Into Pieces, I taught my daughter how to pick locks. - I love sci-fi, video games, Texas bbq, Yo La Tengo, and bourbon.
