Daniel Fryer is a mental health and wellbeing consultant. That title covers a range of things, including consultancy and advice to various corporate sectors, psychotherapy, coaching, clinical hypnotherapy, workshop and webinar presenting, expert speaking and content and copywriting. He’s been working in the field of mental health and wellbeing since 2004 and has worked in private practice, private healthcare, occupational health, the NHS, and for The Priory Hospital. He holds an MSc in rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapy, a diploma in clinical hypnosis and another in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy. He also has a diploma in animal assisted therapy (AAT) and his therapy dog Nuala is often on-hand, there to provide pat-and-stroke sessions as well as cuddles. A former journalist, he is very familiar with high-pressure work environments and the stress of multiple deadlines. Daniel typically helps people presenting with anxiety disorders, all kinds of stress (including chronic stress, work stress and burnout syndrome), as well as adjustment disorders, dealing with uncertainty, confidence and self-esteem problems, and anger-management issues. He even accidentally turned his previous dog Lara - a rescue from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home - into a semi-famous therapy dog. She appeared in several magazine and website articles of her own. Nuala has yet to be interviewed but is open to offers. Daniel writes and presents regularly on mental health and wellbeing topics. He's lectured on college courses, develops specialist workshops and has delivered workplace wellness presentations to a wide variety of companies and sectors. He is the author of the Four Thoughts That F*ck You Up . . . and how to fix them (Vermillion/Penguin Random House) and How to Cope with Almost Anything with Hypnotherapy (Green Tree/Bloomsbury). Originally from London, he relocated to Bristol for a while, but currently finds himself in The Dordogne Valley, France, where the weather is warm, the views are wonderful, nature (always essential to your mental health and wellbeing) is all around, and where the boulangeries are far too tempting indeed.
