My Biography Welcome to my biography page. Here is a little information about Dan, the person, and why I developed this writing style. I was born in a small Kentucky town in the winter of 1973. I grew up in a loving and hardworking household, so I learned early the importance of hard work. Emotionally, I have always considered myself an empath, a kind and caring soul who can identify and feel others' feelings more deeply. In a time where there is so much anger, hostility, corruption, greed, and hate in the world, I make a difference by spreading positive messages and stories to uplift and inspire others. By leaving my footprints behind, I can also inspire future generations. There can be a great power in words and how you choose to use them. With words, you can have the power to form tears, either positive with beautiful inspirations or negative with horrible intent. My mission is to teach the children of our world this all-important life lesson in an effort to reduce bullying. In my work history, I have done many things to survive. I have always been a hard worker. I drove a semi for a couple of years, but my jobs, such as factory and food service, have mostly been labor-intensive. Most recently, I stocked grocery and department store shelves. My favorite is the five years I spent at the Humane Society in my city. Unfortunately, I developed severe allergies to the animals and had to part ways with them. Over the years, I developed a blog to post my poems and short stories, which I then added to a website and, eventually, my books. With the help of Pinterest and other social media, I use the feedback I gain to inspire myself and continue my mission. I am a Jesus-loving Christian and have also incorporated that into my work. I encourage creativity and free, independent thinking. With so many cultures, races, religions, and differences, getting along and loving one another is all the more critical.
