I live in Richmond, Virginia in the United States where there is an abundance of historical sites to visit. I enjoy researching and writing about America's past and I often incorporate people and places into my stories. I learned that my ancestors were traced back to England where one of them was hanged as a highwayman. I wonder what drove him to a life of crime? Stuff like that fascinates me and I try to dig deep and find out what makes people tick. Doing that helps to make my characters jump off the page and have readers wanting more.
