Dwight Hood Roberts was born in Belton, Texas on November twenty-second nighteen forty-two. He has lived all his life life in and around Belton Texas. He graduated from Belton High School and attended one year at the local Junior College. Dwight married Peggy one year out of High School and proceeded to look for the American Dream. Along the way they had two children, Rex and Vickie. Dwight tried many ways to earn a living for his family; he started out sacking groceries when he was fourteen, later he worked as a butcher, drove a truck, batched concrete, dispatched trucks. During this time he ran a dragline, a backhole, a front-end loader and trencher. After a few years he realized an oppertunity and went into business doing construction work and had modest success. He also bought and sold real estate with his profits and had success with that. Dwight's desire for writing began when he was in the forth grade. He would write poems and short stories and read them to his classmates. In his late teens and early twenties he tried having some of his work published but he soon learned that the editors had standards to go by and his typing skills were poor. Dwight put his writing aside and concentrated on making a living for the next 40 years. In 2005 he discovered some of his old stories in a box and decided to finish a western novel that he had started when he was in his twenties. With the help of Microsoft works and spell check, he finished that novel which is, Treasure at El Dorado. A year later he published Treasure At Rainbow's End and the year after that he published Journey To Vengeance. Dwight and Peggy still live In Belton Texas on a twenty acre Ranchett where his seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren often visit.
