About the Author Gary Mertz, 2023 (Age 79) Why the title “REVELATIONS IN A YEAR OF AN EVIL WORLD”? That is how I see the world, some good, some bad, much evil. Very little in politics was an enlightenment in my youth. I felt wars were happening way too often, and our government was not as good as they were pretending to be, with very little transparency, and way too many secrets. I did not believe the garbage fed to us about Kennedy’s assassination. I felt our politicians were beginning to pay little attention to their constituents, forgetting who they work for. The FBI and CIA seemed to be very shady, and I had little faith in the legal system. Way too many people went missing without a trace, showing we could put little faith in our military, law enforcers, and investigation groups. And that speaks only about the U.S., as little data ever appears in the national news. The Twin Towers fiasco was a bunch of B.S.; pushed heavily on us, until some of the people began to believe the news, rather than use their brains. I found that the Internet, and various groups delivered news that was not in step with the mainstream media of the U.S. Truth is out there, but not much on TVs. I have little trust in what comes out of the mainstream media. They just peddle propaganda, from what I see. I believe our medical system is evil at best, keeping most of us in medical distress. They cure nothing, just rename the problem, pushing drugs that have more harming features, than symptom relief. I write about other things, than that written above. I write of humor and things that I love. I even take a crack at problems of life, both fun and strife. I’ve taken ideas from friends and challenges as well. When in the mood, I can write for quite a spell. You may not like everything that I have written, but my eyes have begun a long time ago, seeing through the veil. Many of the poems contain good information, everything put to rhyme to add fun to the education. Gary
