As a young child, Gordon Blitz was called a sissy, girlie, fag, queer, and homo. Getting towel whipped, stomach punched and spit on were part of his daily world. Then after forty years as an accountant, he retired in 2017 and became a passionate writing machine. As a senior LGBTQ+ man, he has a unique perspective on the many facets of being LGBTQ+ for the last fifty years. He is a diverse multi-media creative artist, novelist, playwright and performer. In 2023, his play Reflections of A Gay Jewish Boy had a performance at the Region 8 Kennedy Center American Theater College Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada and became a finalist for the National Festival in Washington D.C. His short play A Beautiful Sludge was selected to be part of the Equity Library Theater of New York 2024 Virtual Festival His play A Homeless Thanksgiving was performed on February 9, 2025 as part of the Talking It Out Festival at the Spit&Vigor Blackbox Theatre, NYC. His play Exploring was read as part of The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights Reading Program. He is also a novelist. In 2021 his novella Shipped Off was published by Running Wild Press in Novella Anthology Volume 4, Book 1. Since 2021, he has published, Stretched Love, Murder Times Three: A Waverly Place Mystery and Transformation and Acceptance, It's No Laughing Matter, and The Hermaphrodites
