J. David Miller is an award-winning, best-selling author, as well as a writer, director and producer of short- and long-form direct-response campaigns. However, in 1984, Miller was just a young editor for SPORT Magazine in New York covering the now-defunct United States Football League. While the older writers took the "plum" NFL assignments, Miller would cover the unheralded United States Football League, a career choice that would change his life. Most of Miller's thousands of printed articles and many books now connect back to the United States Football League, including Third and Long, with Neil Lomax; Elvis Don't Like Football, with Jerry Glanville;  Hawaii Warrior Football: A Story of Faith, Hope and Redemption, with June Jones.  Most recently, he just finished Carolina Baseball: Pressure Makes Diamonds, with NCAA Coach of the Year  and the back- to-back National Champion Head Coach, Ray Tanner, with his co-author Ron Kule (www.PressureMakesDiamondsBook.com) Upcoming is 'My Miracle on Ice,' with hockey legend and NHL Hall-of-Famer Craig Patrick, the assistant head coach of the U.S. hockey team that defeated the Russians in 1980. Patrick is now the recently appointed senior advisor to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Miller also wrote books with NFL Hall of Fame head coach Hank Stram, and the Kids' Super Book of Football for Sports Illustrated. Currently, Miller just  completed 'The Dentist Who Drilled the NFL: How I Took on the NFL and Won, and My Plan to Reform the NCAA,' with dentist-turned-NFL Super Agent, turned USFL team owner, Dr. Jerry Argovitz, which will be released by Skyhorse Publishing in August 2012. Miller has been published more than 1,000 times in national and international periodicals, and earned the coveted Page One Award from the New York Newspaper Guild for outstanding investigative journalism. He has experience both in front of, and behind, the camera. He conceived, wrote, co-directed and co-produced three major infomercials, including one with NFL legend and Hall-of-Famer Mike Ditka; another with Dr. Robert Voy, former Chief Medical Officer of the United States Olympic Committee; former CNN anchor Bella Shaw; and hosted two long-form shows himself. The Smart Heart Program, and The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm (Arena Football). During this span, J. David Miller worked closely with career actor, director and producer Jackie Earle Haley, who earned the Academy Award for best supporting actor in 2007. Miller is a father of four beautiful daughters, and resides with his beautiful wife, and best friend, Laurie Beth, anywhere they can find an ocean.
