I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. During my undergraduate studies, I learned much about myself. Part of this was developing the skill of optimism. Being optimistic was important for me because it gave me hope. The hope I possess allowed me to change my way of thinking and how I viewed the world. In 2009, I graduated from the University of South Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, and began working in the social services field. Also, I earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, from the Troy University, in 2012. After a period of time investigating child abuse for the Florida Department of Children & Families, I left to attend law school. I learned my passion at the age of 26, as I matriculated at the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Shortly after beginning my law school career, seeing how I could use the law to stop unjust killings and racial injustice within this country and world, brought to fruition my "Seriousness of Purpose." I earned my Juris Doctorate degree in law, in 2016. Nowadays, I am working towards socio-economic equality for all. I believe in using my skills as an educator and attained legal knowledge, to be proactive in seeking justice. I believe change will come, even if I do not live to see it. Currently, I serve as the Social Justice Strategist for the J. Garrett Green & Associates, LLC. As a social justice strategist, I assist in the development of plans of civic demonstration, to address issues of human rights, civil rights, & equality. Additionally, I engage various communities through educational seminars to create more informed citizens, regarding knowledge of one’s constitutional rights. A key aspect is understanding how to effect commerce and economics, in order to make an impact towards each cause. Lastly, I have previously been certified by the Supreme Court of Florida in Circuit Civil matters (other than family), as a mediator. Also, I have completed training with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Being a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., I enjoy mentoring and speaking with youth and young adults about the importance of education, knowing one's rights, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, I served as co-chair of the Pensacola Citizens Police Advisory Committee, after being appointed to the committee by the Mayor of Pensacola, Florida.
