J. Michael Williams, DBA, is an author, award-winning higher education executive, and inspirational figure born in Gainesville, Florida. As the middle child of James C. Williams, Jr., and Wenda G. Williams, he grew up surrounded by love, support, and the encouragement to pursue his passions. From a young age, J. Michael Williams discovered his gift for writing. He found solace and expression in crafting sermons and poetry, captivating his audience with his profound insights and lyrical prowess. His talent was recognized early on when one of his poems was featured in the esteemed publication Torchlights during his high school years. During his undergraduate years at Bethune-Cookman College (now Bethune-Cookman University), he would also deliver his first public sermon titled “Delayed Not Denied.” While he had dabbled in writing blog posts, it was in 2016 that J. Michael Williams embarked on his first non-fiction self-help book, The What If Factor: Living Beyond The Question Mark. This transformative work represents a culmination of his experiences, wisdom, and personal growth. In 2020, tragedy struck J. Michael Williams’ life with the passing of his beloved mother. This profound loss prompted him to pause and reflect on his own journey. His writing became a catalyst for self-discovery and a renewed commitment to bringing purpose and inspiration to others. In 2021, with his mother’s memory as his guiding light, J. Michael Williams completed the manuscript that she had been the only one to read. The What If Factor became a testament to his resilience and a beacon of hope for those seeking to navigate life’s uncertainties with courage and conviction. J.
