I was born in England and I started writing after completing an MA degree in Creative Writing at UEA. I had wanted to write romances but the course encouraged a more literary style. I guess at the time I failed in this aim, though I continued to write about what interested me. One was published by Robert Hale but I found it difficult to interest a publisher in my later efforts. Now I self-publish, for the Kindle and for Audible (coming) but I don't write in a specific genre all the time.There was a break of some years while I settled myself in Guernsey My latest book, Toxic Games came out of my experience of working in a manufacturing company about a man who, urged by a beautiful woman, climbs the greasy pole. Needless to say he comes to a bad end. Since writing his bio I have written other novels. Each one contains some of my own experience. For example, 'What The Trees Saw' is about a girl who has to live in a caravan. I lived for over a year in a single decker bus converted into a living va, so I know what it is like to suffer the restrictions, boredom and lack of comfort. For 'The Straw' Trap.' I lived for years in the county where almost all women plaited straw in Victorian times,so the research I did was easy.
