Jeff grew up in what was a small town, Plano, Texas, and attended the First Christian Church. He developed a love of sports, especially baseball. He lettered both years as a starting first baseman for the Plano Wildcats. He later went to college at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a degree in business management. He met the love of his life after college and married Juli in 1984. They have three wonderful sons— – Brandon, Cameron and Wesley. They still attend Prestonwood Baptist Church and love to spend their spare time in the Texas Hill country. A seventh-generation Texan, Jeff’s family played a major role in placing early settlers in North Texas back in the early 1840’s during the Republic of Texas days. A tradition he continues to this day. He’s a fourth-generation Texas real estate licensee. Also a fourth-generation home builder, Jeff grew up in a family of home builders and has built thousands of houses. Able to cut a roof at the age of fifteen, he spent his first twenty years building houses and working in senior management for national home builders across the U.S. In 1993, he moved the family back to his hometown and made the transition to what would ultimately be his calling, selling real estate. Serving others as they transition in life fell in line with his technical knowledge of construction, his intimate knowledge of his hometown, and personal experiences of buying/selling homes as his family grew. Jeff’s real passion is hunting and fishing. After his grandfather took him under his wing as a young boy, he developed a love for the outdoors. Spending time in nature and watching the woods come alive as the sun arose each day were spiritual moments that shaped his childhood. He and Juli enjoy traveling and taking their sons snow skiing and riding the fastest roller coasters they can find. Jeff especially enjoys hunting for rattlesnakes. Taking his sons rattlesnake hunting is still their best idea of an adrenaline rush. He greatly enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and has passed that love for the outdoors on to his sons.
