About me. I grew up in Washington State with a Father that was an overly imaginative thinker as well as a true outdoorsman, and a Mother that was incredibly kind and tended to overly worry about things. The combination produced me. My whole life I have had a creative desire and strong, lasting imagination. When I was at the age that I should know there is no “Santa Claus” , my sister announced to me on Christmas morning “Santa Claus isn’t real, Mom and Dad bought all these gifts”. To which I proudly replied “Kim, you are so dumb, do you think Mom and Dad can afford all of this?”. Made sense. My Dad always encouraged my creativity and I wrote 2 books when I was still in elementary school. One a “joke book” and the other an adventure story. They both live somewhere now in a forgotten box…. In my teen years I adventured into music, which I continued through the rest of my life to this day. Writing songs, performing in groups. I released 5 CD’s of original music under the name “VS&B” and 1 CD under the name of “Exit Wound”. I traveled frequently for my “day job” and was able to see the world. On those trips at night, alone in my hotel room I would write poetry. Some would turn into lyrics, some would just exist on their own. My first published book is “The Missouri Brotherhood”, a book I put together for my Dad who now suffers from Alzheimers. It is a collection of stories from his childhood, as well as mine which I wrote in a format that I think in his condition he could more easily consume and enjoy. While I wrote it specifically for him, it can be a book shared with others, especially those with a loved one suffering from Dementia or Alzheimers. Although "The Missouri Brotherhood" is my first published book, it has inspired me to publish more. Like many “artists” or overly imaginative minds, I have an influx of ideas flurrying around in my head - I just need to take some time to put them into words.
