Kaitlan C. Farrior is an emerging literary voice and independent author from North Carolina, whose words inspire reflection, healing, and hope. With an unwavering belief in the power of empathy and resilience, Kaitlan weaves deeply human stories that resonate across cultures and borders. Her debut poetry collection, Poems By The Overthinker, self-published in 2019, was just the beginning of a meaningful journey in both writing and personal growth. She has since published several more notable works, including Even Flowers Don’t Like Being Stepped On, In The Midnight Hour, The Transfer, and Like I Don’t Exist, which was adapted into a live-action play available through her website. Kaitlan’s books are now sold internationally, reaching readers in Brazil, Spain, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, India, and many more countries. Her work is also available in libraries across Durham and Wake County, NC, where local readers can discover her powerful narratives that explore love, heartbreak, identity, and healing, especially from the perspective of marginalized communities. Beyond her writing, Kaitlan shares her passion for creativity and self-improvement through workshops hosted in various North Carolina libraries. Her workshops cover topics such as character building, imposter syndrome, wellness, and writing. These events, which foster community and personal growth, have even extended to live musical performances at local libraries and Barnes & Noble. Currently a dedicated student at North Carolina State University, Kaitlan is pursuing degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Africana Studies, with plans to graduate in 2025. Through her words, workshops, and the connections she fosters, Kaitlan continues to inspire others on their journeys of self-discovery and healing.
