Karen King writes psychological suspense and women's fiction and is celebrating her fortieth year of publication. Her 7th psychological suspense novel, Don't Trust Him, was published on 3 April 2025 by Bookouture and her 'golden years' novel, The Runaway Wives, was published by Boldwood on 24th March 2025. This is her 12th woman's fiction novel. Karen has also had 120 children’s books, two young adult novels, and several short stories for women’s magazines published. Her early writing career was spent writing for Jackie and other teenage and children's magazines including Winnie the Pooh and Barbie. Her suspense novels The Mother In Law, The Perfect Stepmother and The Stranger in my Bed and her romantic novel The Cornish Hotel by the Sea all became International Amazon bestsellers and several of her books have been translated into other languages. Karen is an experienced writing tutor, having been a part-time lecturer on the MA in Professional Writing and BA Illustration courses at Falmouth University, and a distance learning tutor for several writing schools. She now lives in Spain and concentrates solely on writing. Karen is a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, the Society of Authors, the Crime Writers’ Association and the Society of Women Writers and Journalists.
