Karen Money Williams was born in Portland, Indiana, and graduated from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, where she studied psychology and creative writing. No, it's not wishful thinking, bragging, or an affirmation. Her family name is Money. She uses it to distinguish herself from all the other Karen Williamses in the world, some of whom don't pay their library fines. An encounter with Hodgkin's lymphoma as a young adult changed the course of Karen's life, causing her to make a lifelong study: Why do some people physically thrive and others struggle? Why do some people work hard and prosper and others simply work hard? How do some people find fulfilling relationships and others are ever searching? Decades of seeking answers to these questions led Karen to become a student of Law of Attraction and the belief that our habits of thought elicit the events and circumstances of our lives. What we habitually think about comes about -- that or something similar, Karen has concluded. Based on this premise, Karen's four books in her Soulsongs series help the reader to focus in a more positive way in daily life. Forgiveness, appreciation, humor, and optimism are sample themes in her collections of brief inspirational essays. Step by step, the author coaxes the reader into seeing life from a more positive perspective, with the expectation that desired life changes will ensue. Karen has also written five books about her favorite Law of Attraction teachings, those of Abraham-Hicks. These include Ask an Aber; How Life Works; 15 Flawed Premises That Trip People Up; It's a Beautiful Day in the Aber-hood: Abraham-Hicks Riddles for All Occasions; and Positive Thinking on Steroids: The Startling Statements of Abraham-Hicks. Ever the jokester, Karen has also been a newspaper humor columnist while living in Oregon and Florida. How I Moved To Florida and Darn Near Made It Big is a compilation of her most popular humor columns. Karen has three children and two granddaughters. She and her fella, Mark, live in Orlando, Florida, where she enjoys gardening, yoga, attending Orlando Magic basketball games, and surfing Facebook for funny cat pictures.
