Kia DuPree received the Fiction Honor Book Award from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association for her debut novel ROBBING PETER (Prism Pages 2004) in 2005. Her follow-up book, DAMAGED, was the first novel published as part of a three-book deal with Hachette’s Grand Central Publishing in 2010. DAMAGED was called a “knockout” and “…raw gritty, uncompromising realism” by the Library Journal.
