Rebekah Kimberly Davis was born in 1953, in a small south Ga town. Raised in the bible belt south, she had no choice but to live as a male, although female in her heart and mind. She graduated high school in 1971 and attended college for one year. She dropped out to pursue a career in broadcast radio, but eventually ended up in the construction industry. She married for the first time in 1978 and this union produced three sons. Divorced in 1986, Kimberly raised her three boys as a single parent until she remarried. Married for the second time to the love of her life, in 1991, She lived with Vikki until her death from breast cancer in June, 2016. Vikki's death opened the door for Kimberly to step out of the closet and begin a new life as a woman. Kimberly started hormone replacement therapy in July, 2016, had surgery in March, 2017, and has been living and working publicly as a woman since September 2016. The story of her struggle with Gender Dysphoria and her transition became the basis for her first book, Becoming Kimberly, A Transgender's Journey. Kimberly now works and lives in Bishop, CA. She continues to write and hopes to have a sci fi novel out soon. Chapter One of her new novel, "Collision Orbit", recently placed 2nd in the Seven Hills Literary and Penumbra Poetry contest. She also has a short story titled "God, Engineering, and Design" published on the Vocalmedia.com platform. Becoming Kimberly is available in E book, Paperback and Audible editions and now a Hardcover. She can be reached at abookbykim@gmail.com. Please keep questions and comments short and to the point and she will answer as soon as possible.
