Leah Lax has written award-winning fiction and nonfiction as well as an opera for Houston Grand Opera reviewed with acclaim in the NYTimes and broadcast on NPR. Her work has appeared in Salon, Longreads, Dame, Lilith, etc., and in anthologies by Seal Press and North Atlantic. Leah has written a program for the Houston Symphony starring actress Alfre Woodard and rapper Bun B, and an opera based on her memoir. When she isn't writing, you can find her playing her cello, or with her wife kayaking around the world.
