Linda Christen has been writing books to inspire and nurture children since 2002. Henry the Blue Monkey is her debut published work and speaks to children of all ages and sorts about what matters most – feeling loved, finding confidence, and knowing that being different is good. Linda loves to travel, immersing herself in the cultural differences and beauty around the world. These experiences have helped to shape her kind and compassionate personality. Moving north from California, San Francisco Bay area, her home base is now just north of Seattle, Washington; and may soon be the home to a new puppy or kitty . . . maybe one of each. She can’t decide. If she were to describe the perfect, fun-filled weekend: she’d be hanging with her two little nephews, having fun, laughing, dancing, and watching cartoons. And like most authors – she appreciates her alone time as well, to observe and listen how people interact with each other. On a quiet day you might find her sinking into a good movie at a local theatre or sipping a grandé soy green tea latte at her favorite Starbucks – always a life observer, watching and listening, making notes for her next story.
