Dr. Lindsay Portnoy is a cognitive scientist working to level up learning through research-based practices that make learning more powerful and enjoyable for teachers and students alike. A former public school teacher, Portnoy currently serves as Associate Teaching Professor in the Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership concentration in the Doctor of Education program at Northeastern University and is cofounder of Killer Snails, an immersive learning games company. A member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network, a former Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Emerging Leader, an Assessment Fellow at Hunter College, City University of New York, and recipient of the 2018 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) of the year, Dr. Portnoy lives in New York with her husband, two sons, two dogs, three cats, and whatever stray critters come out of the woods.
